The Company operate in the Healthcare sector and were reviewing their temporary recruitment options after receiving a poor service from another neutral vendor in the market. The company had been targeted by their senior management team to reduce the level of out of panel spend, which had become a major issue under the incumbent neutral vendor.

The Neuven account manager worked closely with the client sites to develop a robust understanding of the business and provided guidance to the operational teams with regards to compliance & legislation, labour resource, labour pay scales by discipline & geographical area, system training, planning for peaks, developing the agency supply base and dealing with any out of panel issues relating to the agencies who would not work with the previous neutral vendor.

After analysing spend with the client, specific locations were targeted to bring agencies in panel. Neuven then approached the agencies supplying out of panel in order to ascertain why they were Out of Panel (OOP) through the previous Neutral Vendor and whether they would supply via Neuven.

Sites were given a bespoke set of transparent, uniformed rates for agencies to work to, preventing agencies charging excessive margins and giving the client consistency across the board. This meant that agencies were no longer competing on their price, but on the quality of the staff and service they provided. This lead to a marked improvement in the quality of staff being provided by the agency supply team.

The client were especially impressed by the level of visibility and control they were given by both Venneu® and Venloc®, which had previously been promised by the incumbent. This went hand in hand with the client being assigned an executive sponsor, who would meet with key and senior sponsors on a quarterly basis. Working in partnership they were able to develop a detailed management information pack, which was used to measure and discuss the temporary labour trends affecting the clients business.

Through removing or singing up out of panel agencies, Neuven have increased the amounts transacting through Venneu® for the client from circa £17,00 p/w to circa £24,00 p/w depending on usage levels, which is reviewed each quarter with the client.
